2010 Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games
Kwantlen Polytechnic University is proud to be an official Vancouver 2010 Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games Community Contributor and to support the legacy of the Vancouver 2010 Winter Olympic Games. We join VANOC and the City of Vancouver in welcoming the world to our great city.
The Community Contributor Program offers Kwantlen students and employees a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to be part of a world-class event like the 2010 Winter Olympic Games .
Kwantlen will be providing services and resources including parking, classroom spaces, volunteer support, and other services in support of this event. In return Kwantlen will receive a wide range of benefits including co-op, internships and volunteer opportunities with VANOC, increased community partnerships, and overall increased profile in our communities.
Kwantlen has created a steering committee to research issues and formulate recommendations to Kwantlen's senior management on operational and academic issues arising from the 2010 Winter Olympic Games. Kwantlen is committed to our students and their learning and will ensure their educational expectations are met as we participate in the Vancouver 2010 Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games.
