Access Programs for People with Disabilities: Certificate of Completion
Kwantlen offers job preparation, vocational skills training and work exploration programs for adults with disabilities.

Adult Basic Education: Certificate of Completion
Upgrade specific skills and knowledge in English (reading, writing, spelling), math and science. Prepare to write the General Education Development (GED) high school equivalency test, and other specific program entry tests. Adult basic education (ABE) courses are tuition-free. Students at the ABE provincial-level may take undergraduate-level courses concurrently.

BA Qualifying Year: Statement of Completion
This program helps students upgrade math and English skills to meet the entrance requirements of Kwantlen's BA programs. Students receive guaranteed admission into the program after completing the BA Qualifying Year within two semesters and achieving the required grade level in English, math and FYLC 1100.

Counselling
Students will develop a foundation in counselling theory and practice. They will take courses that will provide necessary prerequisites for graduate studies in Counselling and will develop the abilities and insights required for working in careers that involve high levels of interpersonal interaction (e.g., social work, probation, policing, teaching, health care, business).

Educational Transition Courses
First and final year transition courses. First year courses enable students to develop abilities necessary for success in the university environment while learning about the history and purpose of university and exploring issues relevant to being a university student today (e.g., stress, time management, corporatization of universities, value of a degree). Final year course involves reflecting on the value of your education and learning to market your developed skills and abilities to potential employers and graduate schools.
