Aboriginal
Aboriginal Teacher Education Award
This award will provide $5,000 annually for up to four years to individual Aboriginal students registered in a teacher eduation program at a BC University, leading to certification by the British Columbia Teachers' Council. The application deadline is April 5.

Ch'Nook Scholar Program
The Ch'nook Aboriginal Business Education Program at UBC is open to all full-time Aboriginal students enrolled in business diploma or degree programs at post-secondary institutions in BC.
CN will offer $3,000 grants to best-in class women, military veterans, and students of Aboriginal heritage who are studying in fields relevant to CN's core business. Grand Lodge Masonic Bursaries
The Grand Lodge of Ancient Free and Accepted Masons of BC/Yukon offers annual bursaries to young men and women entering post secondary education. Recipients for these awards are selected from among applicants who have satisfactory academic standing and who are beginning or are continuing undergraduate studies at UBC, SFU, UVIC, BCIT or a regional college, in a full program leading to a degree or certificate in any field. Maxine Sevack Memorial Grant
A scholarship fund has been established by the Sevack Family to honour the memory of their daughter, Maxine, a freelance journalist who died in a plane accident in Guatemala in 1986.

Praxair International Scholarship
Awarded to a full-time college student pursuing a minimum four-year bachelors degree in welding engineering or welding engineering technology; however, priority will be given to welding engineering students. Applicant must have a minimum 2.5 overall grade point average. The applicant must demonstrate leadership abilities through clubs, organizations, extra-curricular academic activities, community involvement, etc. Financial need is not required; however, it would be a primary consideration in prioritizing top candidates. The applicant must be a United States or Canadian citizen and plan to attend an academic institution located within the United States or Canada. The award is $2,500, and is granted on an annual basis.

Three scholarships are awarded each year; one major scholarship with a total value of $60,000, and two minor scholarships of $5,000 each. The Ukrainian Resource and Development Centre at Grant MacEwan College
- The Roger Charest Sr. Award for Broadcast & Media Arts is offered annually for a project to applicants (individual or group) for an initiative to create a special program or series which may later be suitable for broadcast and may further the cause of multiculturalism in Canada.
- The Alberta Council for the Ukrainian Arts (ACUA) Award is offered annually for a project that fosters a greater awareness of Ukrainian art in Alberta. This project may be in the form of an exhibit, tour, festival, educational program, or special project.
- The Roman Soltykewych Music Scholarship is available to applicants (individual or group) determined to pursue further studies in the field of Ukrainian choral or vocal music.
- The Anna Pidruchney Award for New Writers is available annually to a novice writer for a work on a Ukrainian Canadian theme. Submissions for this year's award must be in Ukrainian. Previous recipients of this award are not eligible.
- The William and Mary Kostash Award for Media Arts is offered every other year for a project which promotes Ukrainian Canadian identity through the medium of film, video or multimedia.
The annual application deadline for all awards is November 30.
