Terry Han

After graduating from BCIT with a Diploma in Building Technology, Terry was employed by the Burnaby Building Department. 3 years later, he decided to pursue a career in teaching and went back to university (SFU) to complete an Honours B.A. in English. This led him to England, where he completed a year of post-graduate studies at Cambridge University. Realizing that he wanted to stay in England and possibly work as a solicitor, Terry decided to finish a University of London LL.B at Queen Mary College.

While completing his law degree, Terry worked at a top corporate law firm in London. Upon graduation, he was employed as a barrister’s clerk by a firm that specializes in criminal law.

Since his return to Vancouver in 2003, Terry has completed a paralegal applications certificate and worked as a legal assistant at a national business law firm. Most recently, he worked in a private equity group that specializes in mergers and acquisitions. Terry is very pleased to be able to go back to his original intention of becoming a teacher and is excited by the prospect of being able to pursue his interest in law while teaching at Kwantlen Polytechnic University.

In his spare time, Terry plays hockey, snowboards and has recently taken up surfing.
