Hess Testimonial

TEFL Student - Kwantlen Scholarship

Catherine Thompson - TEFL Course 2010

TEFL was challenging, stimulating and simply amazing, chalked full of engaging and knowledgeable instructors.   I have always had an interest in teaching abroad but never knew where to start.  Hess has been a guiding beacon and has full prepared me for my time abroad. Once indecisive and unsure of how to manage a class of ELS students, I now feel confident.  The TEFL course covers a wide range of material and leaves no question unanswered.  I highly recommend it to anyone that wants to teach overseas but doesn’t know where to begin.

Catherine MacAskill RN, BScN (Kwantlen Alumni) - TEFL Course 2010

I have just successfully completed the HESS TEFL program ('Pass with Distinction'!) and I would like to thank you very much for granting me the Kwantlen Scholarship funding to attend this very informative and interesting course. I look forward to applying many of the strategies I learned from this program towards my Master of Science in Nursing program that commences in September at UBC. It is the Educator Pathway - Level 4 program and I am hoping to teach RN students upon completion of this program. Again, my sincerest appreciation for being allowed the opportunity through Kwantlen to attend the HESS program.
