When do I apply? |

You can apply to the program as of November 1st. The deadline for submitting applications and transcripts is March 31. Portfolio reviews are scheduled in late April/May. We encourage you to apply early as assigned registration dates and times are determined by the date of application. |

What is a selective-entry program? |
|
A: |
Our cohorts are limited to 20 students. For every cohort, we will select the top 20 applicants (based on the portfolio review) and offer them a seat in the program. All other qualified students are placed on a wait list. If seats become available, they are offered to the waitlisted applicants. |

If I'm a full-time student, how long will it take me to complete the program? |

A: |
The program will take eight months to complete, from September to April. |

The program is currently only available on the Richmond campus. |

Upon graduation, what will I do? |

Most program graduates go on to attain diploma/degrees in more specialized design programs at Kwantlen, Emily Carr University of Art + Design, Langara College, Capilano University, ACAD, OCAD, Ryerson, etc. |

How do I find out when FIND courses are scheduled? |

A: |
FIND courses are typically scheduled Monday to Friday, from 8am to 5pm. The current timetables and timetable archives can be accessed through kpu.ca/registration/timetables.html |

I am enrolled in another program, but interested in design. Can I take Foundations in Design courses? |

A: |
Yes, a number of FIND courses are university designated breadth courses, and thus open to Kwantlen students based on seat availability. These include:

What supplies do I need? |
|
A: |
A list of required supplies (sketchbooks, paints, rubber cement, etc.) is provided to students at the beginning of the semester. In addition, students will need to purchase supplies as required for their individual and group projects (cardboard, balsa wood, hot glue gun, etc.), with most of the expenditures occuring in the spring semester. |
