Course Selection and Registration
Kwantlen assists students with their course selection, approval, and registration. Here are some instructions on how the process works:
- Submit your Course Approval Sheet with your incoming exchange application.
- Go to the Kwantlen Calendar for descriptions of courses and their prerequisites.
- Go to the Course Timetable site to get an idea of what courses have been offered during a particular semester in the past. Actual course offerings are not released until a few months prior to the start of the semester.
- Fill in the Course Approval Sheet with courses you are interested in taking and have also been approved by your home institution.
- Receive an email indicating which courses you have been approved for.
- Once the timetable for your semester has been released and at least one week prior to the beginning of the registration period for your semester at Kwantlen, submit your Course Registration Sheet.
- Fill out the Course Registration Sheet using the courses for which you have been approved.
- If you would like to take courses that were not originally included on your Course Approval Sheet, please submit a new Course Approval Sheet with your additional selections. Please note that it can take up to two weeks for additional course approvals.
- Double check the timetable to make sure that there are no scheduling conflicts between your classes and final exams and also to allow enough travel time between campuses if necessary.
- Kwantlen will register you in your classes based on your course registration sheet.
- Students are advised to make their selections carefully and within the recommended deadlines as changes outside of these times are very challenging.
