Our academic curriculum is grounded in the concepts of caring, collaboration, inclusion and development of healthier communities. Programs vary in length from four year bachelor degrees to five month citations.
Bachelor of Science In Nursing (BSN)
This program prepares students to function as Registered Nurses (RNs) in acute care, intermediate and/or long term care, clinics, home care, and community agencies. Degree completion for practising RNs is included.

Bachelor of Science in Nursing Post Baccalaureate (BSN-PB)
The BSN PB program is an alternative to the traditional four-year entry level nursing program. It serves a distinct group of mature, successful learners and recognizes their prior learning. The program is open to applicants who already have a four year degree as well as two first year Anatomy and Physiology courses and two first year English courses.The 27 month long BSN-PB program is taught using a hybrid or blended approach. Most courses are taught online, augmented by the use of iPads and other innovative technologies. The program also includes two two-week long residencies on the Langley campus as well as two full-time practice semesters in various health care agencies in the Lower Mainland.

Bachelor of Psychiatric Nursing (BPN)
This program prepares learners to function as Registered Psychiatric Nurses (RPNs) in a broad range of settings that provide challenging and exciting opportunities in health care. This program includes degree completion for practicing RPNs. The BPN information session provides an opportunity for prospective students to meet with faculty from the BPN program. In this session, we will review prerequisites and admission requirements, as well as the role of the psychiatric nurse and the specifics about the BPN nursing program. No preregistration is required.
BPN graduates may apply to enter Semester 3 of the Bachelor of Science in Nursing Post Baccalaureate (BSN-PB) program.
Please Note: Applications for this program are being accepted between July 1 and November 30.

Critical Care Nursing (CCNG)
The goal of the program is to prepare nurses for entry level critical care nursing practice in tertiary and community adult critical care areas. The learning outcomes incorporate the current standards for critical care nursing practice as defined by the Canadian Association of Critical Care Nurses (CACCN). The competencies tested in this program prepares the successful candidates for novice entry into adult Critical Care nursing practice and satisfies the qualifying requirements to write the Canadian Critical Care Nursing examination, administered by the Canadian Nurses Association (CNA). The content of the program incorporates the essential knowledge, skills and abilities required for safe and competent adult critical care nursing practice in British Columbia.
Health Unit Coordinator (HAUC)
You will learn how to coordinate and communicate the various nursing unit activities in a hospital, which include maintaining patient chart records and how to process written doctor's orders.

Health Care Assistant Program (HCAP)
The Health Care Assistant Program is designed to provide students with opportunities to develop the knowledge, skills and values necessary to care for older adults and people with disabilities in their home and in facilities.
HCAP graduates who complete the required co-requisite courses may apply to enter Semester 3 of the Bachelor of Psychiatric Nursing (BPN) program.

These programs educate nurses to work with individuals, families, groups and communities from a health perspective and with an ethic of caring.
Special Education Teacher Assistant (SETA)
Become an education assistant, supporting students with diverse learning, behavioural and physical support needs to learn alongside their peers in the school system. Education Assistants are in demand province-wide, with Kwantlen among the leading institutions to offer comprehensive, evidence-based programming that is regularly responding to the needs in the community. To learn more about the SETA program, please attend an information session. (Attendance is a requirement of admission.)
NOTE: We are not accepting any more applications or documenting attendance at Info Sessions for the full time SETA program for September 2013, however we are still accepting applications for the part time program held in Richmond.
