Professional Communication PNUR 1120
Course Description
Learners will discuss and have an opportunity to practice therapeutic communication, conflict resolution and patient teaching strategies and examine the roles and responsibilities of the Registered Nurse engaging in critical thinking and clinical decision making. A variety of learning activities will be utilized to maximize effective communication strategies for the workplace using case scenarios and role plays.
Course Format
This is an onsite course at Kwantlen’s Surrey Campus.
Course Cost
$500.00 CAD, plus the application fee where applicable.
Course Grade
Successful grade for this course is Mastery
Entrance Requirements
To be eligible to register, applicants must have one of the following:
- Completion of Kwantlen Competency Assessment and Enhancement for Nurses’ (CAEN) assessment
- A letter of referral from CRNBC
- Current nursing licensure
