Budget Management
IET provides support for the Budget Management service at the University. Budget Management is available via the Kwantlen’s employee intranet website. Authorized users can login and review approved budget areas. Budget Management is an extension of Kwantlen’s Financial Management service.
IET’s support for this service includes key pre-services such as Server and Disk Management, Network Administration and Back-up and Recovery services. Account creation and access to the service is performed by IET but granting and revoking security privileges relating to accessing specific fund and organization data is maintained by Security Managers in the Finance department

Eligibility
Available to authorized Kwantlen Polytechnic University employees. Please visit the FAST Financial Reporting page to learn how to request this access.
IET Responsibilities
- Perform all Server Management tasks related to the server upon which this service runs.
- Perform all Disk Management tasks related to the server upon which this service runs.
- Perform all Back-up and Recovery service tasks related to the server upon which this service runs.
- Perform all Application Development and Maintenance tasks related to this service to ensure the application is operating in an optimal state and continues to meet business requirements.
- Ensure that the software which governs Financial Management is configured correctly to allow web access to this function.
- Create accounts as part of standard Account Management services.
- Manage access control list to ensure clients are able to access this service once accounts are created.
- Provide (where necessary), suitable documentation or training.
- Record related inquiries and assign each a unique tracking number.
- Assign all inquiries a service priority.

IET Regular Weekly Downtime Window.
The downtime window is 5pm Saturday to 10am Sunday, the period of time during the week when usage of the Kwantlen systems and network resources are at the lowest. IET will aim to schedule most minor system changes during the window thereby minimizing disruptions. The window will be superceded if critical Kwantlen activities (e.g. web registration deadline) occur at the same time.
