- globalEDGE Company Directories- searchable by region or country
- Thomas Register of American Manufacturers - Includes information on over 150,000 companies and 60,000 products. Some Canadian companies are included.

The World Bank created this interactive mapping interface that allows users to discover how easy (or difficult) it is to do business in 181 economies. For each economy, more than 20 maps covering various issues is provided. A color-coded system is used to classify the business climate, with green, orange and red for easy, moderate and difficult. - Canadian Centre for Policy Alternatives - A social think tank for public policy.

- SEDAR - System for Electronic Document Analysis and Retrieval - Contains company and mutual fund profiles and public securities filings.

- TSX - Toronto Stock Exchange - includes a listed company directory and the TSX Venture Exchange (formerly the CDNX.)
- Vancouver Board of Trade - has as its mission to promote, enhance and facilitate the development of the region as a Pacific centre for trade, commerce and travel.

Standards in the accounting and auditing industries are undergoing a number of changes. The CICA (Chartered Accountants of Canada) has a web page Canadian Standards in Transition pulling together the standards–both Canadian and international–that are currently in transition.The CICA also has an e-newsletter (more like a blog, actually) called In the Loop: Standards in Transition to help keep everyone up to date on the changes. Email subscriptions are also available.

- Bloomberg.com - Market data, news, charts and analysis.
- Business Ethics - Links to a wide variety of information, including articles and case studies, on the subject of ethics in business.
- CAROL - Annual Reports Service - direct links to the financial pages of listed companies in Europe and the USA. Access is free but registration is required.
- GlobalEDGE - A site developed by Michigan State University that contains current information on the business climate, news, history, political structure, economic landscape and statistical data for 196 countries.
- North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) The US Census Bureau has a NAICS search engine (to identify which code applies to which industry) and also has a NAICS > SIC and SIC > NAICS converter.
- Prendismo - is a provider of digital video and podcast content and contains more than 14,000 video and audio clips on business and entrepreneurship.
