Does Kwantlen have on-site security and first aid?
The safety and security of all students is a top priority at Kwantlen. Security and first aid personnel are on campus 24 hours-a-day, seven days-a-week and are available to escort any member of the Kwantlen Polytechnic University community.

My son/daughter is covered by my extended health and dental care plan. Can he/she opt out of the Kwantlen Student Association's extended health and dental care plan?
There is a provision to opt out of either or both plans if you can provide proof of comparable existing coverage. Specific instructions for opting out of this coverage are available through the Kwantlen Student Association.
How do I get extra academic support for my son/daughter?
Kwantlen's Student Services department has a variety of services to help students including tutoring, learning centres, academic advising and counselling.
Why can't I request a copy of my son's/daughter's transcripts or find out if he/she is attending his/her classes?
Kwantlen Polytechnic University strictly adheres to the requirements of the Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act. This legislation prohibits the University from releasing information about students including their experiences, grades, attendance or finances to anyone —including parents and guardians—without the expressed written consent of the student.
Can I talk to my son's/daughter's instructors about his/her grades?
Attending a post-secondary is a growth opportunity for your son/daughter. If your son/daughter has a problem with an instructor, offer him/her support and advice but let him/her deal with it first. Kwantlen has well established policies and procedures to help students deal with complaints and disputes.
