About the President's Ambassadorial Team
The President's Ambassadorial Team, or P.A.T., is comprised of a group of fifteen outstanding students from all disciplines who work directly with the President and the President's External Affairs Advisor to publicly represent Kwantlen Polytechnic University in the communities that we serve. Members of the team attend Kwantlen and community events and functions, and represent Kwantlen Polytechnic University as an extension of the Office of the President.
The P.A.T. members are full-time students who, in addition to demonstrating outstanding academic achievement, also demonstrate the following characteristics:
- The ability to lead others
- The ability to work collaboratively with other team members
- A sincere interest in positively representing and promoting Kwantlen in the community
- An interest in public speaking
- An interest in community advocacy and volunteerism
- The ability to commit an average of five hours per month volunteer time
In keeping with Kwantlen's mission to serve students for leadership and service, membership on this P.A.T. is voluntary rather than paid. However, P.A.T. members receive the following benefits:
- Public speaking and community advocacy training
- Leadership coaching
- Opportunity to attend and network at a variety of high profile community events with paid event costs and mileage reimbursement
- A letter of reference attesting to P.A.T. membership and performance
The President's Ambassadorial Team requires a firm time commitment, so please only put your name forward if you feel that you can manage both your academic workload and volunteer service without compromise.

If you are enrolled as a full-time student, please complete the online application which includes a brief written statement explaining what qualities you would bring to the President's Ambassadorial Team and why you would like to participate. Once your application has been received, the Office of the President will contact you to discuss participation and availability of team spaces. All applicants will be contacted.
