Terms of Reference

  • PSAC recommends to the Board at least two top-ranked candidates.
  • Committee members must complete and sign a Code of Conduct.
  • Review the approved CEO selection criteria.
  • PSAC reviews the "long list" (provided by the Consultant) and develops a "short list."
  • Establish the interview process for the "short listed" candidates in consultation with the Executive Search Firm.
  • PSAC interviews the "short list" based on established prioritized criteria for selection, approved by the Board.
  • PSAC presents to the Board the candidates for consideration, determined by the results of the score card, including background information on the candidates.
  • It is not within the terms of reference of PSAC to consider salary and related issues.
  • These are matters that are dealt with directly between the Chair of the Board of Governors and the person being recommended to the Board of Governors.
  • All interviews will be held off-campus.
