Bachelor of Science, Applied Psychology

Launched in Fall 2009, this new degree is unique in B.C. with its focus on applied training and research. This is an interdisciplinary degree between Kwantlen's Faculty of Social Sciences and Division of Science, Mathematics and Applied Sciences.

Entry Requirements

1st Year: English 12–B; Principles of Math 12–C+; Physics 12–P; Chemistry 12–C+

3rd Year: GPA of 2.7 with a C or better in PSYCH 2300 and 2400 (or equivalents).

Engineering: Certificate

Kwantlen offers first-year engineering courses with an emphasis on completing a Bachelor of Engineering degree at UBC. Courses can also be used to transfer to UVic and SFU Engineering, including SFU-Surrey's mechatronic systems engineering degree. Some second-year science and mathematics courses may also be transferable to engineering.

Environmental Protection Technology: Diploma

Have a direct and positive impact on our fragile environment by advocating ways to prevent pollution. Perform environmental assessments and offer advice to groups on how to limit, control and clear damage already caused. Co-op education option is available. This program is nationally accredited by the Canadian Council of Technicians and Technologists.

Mathematics: Bachelor of Arts, Minor in Mathematics

This program prepares you to enter into a post-baccalaureate secondary education program, with mathematics as one of your teachable subjects, at UBC, SFU or UVic. Also an option if you plan on pursuing a career that requires a sound foundation in mathematics, or if you have a specific interest in mathematics.

Entry Requirements

1st Year: English 12–B; Principles of Math 11–C or Applications of Math 12–C. Second language to a Grade 11 level is required for entry to third year.

3rd Year: Second language to a grade 11 level or equivalent, 60-credits, and other requirements apply.

Science: Associate of Science Degree

This program will provide you with the equivalent of your first and second year education in a Bachelor of Science degree program. Options available include: biology, chemistry, general science, geography, mathematics and physics. An associate degree may provide you with access into third-year at UBC, UBC–O, SFU, SFU Surrey, UVic, UNBC, TRU, UFV and VIU. Associate pathways have also been designed for third-year entry into business (Kwantlen) or environmental science (RRU and UNBC).

Science: Diploma

Our first and second-year science and mathematics courses in the diploma program can be transferred to any B.C. university towards completion of a Bachelor of Science degree. The diploma represents significant completion, but not necessarily the full first two years of a science degree.
