Senate
Senate is the senior academic governing body at Kwantlen Polytechnic University constituted under the University Act. The responsibilities of Senate include the approval of credentials, advising on the priorities of the university and the university budget, and selection of honorary degree recipients.
Senate meets monthly, typically on the last Monday of the month at 4:00 pm. Meetings will end by 6:50 pm unless formally extended. The Open Session portions of the meetings are open to the public.
The membership of Senate is imposed by the University Act.
