Student Life & Community

  • Your club needs a place to meet…
  • You want to raise money for a good cause…
  • You're inviting a guest speaker to campus…
  • You've got a great idea!
  • We're happy to help you make it happen!

The Centre for Student Life and Community facilitates and approves student-led events on KPU campuses. That includes booking rooms or spaces on campus, assisting with promotions, regulating bake sales and barbecues, and coordinating equipment and supplies. Please review this brief guide for ideas that can help your event.

BarbecueBarbecues

A barbecue is a fun way to raise money and awareness for your student group or club. Barbecues, tents, tables, and chairs are available for use on campus. And the food service providers are even available to lend support. Make your barbecue a safe and profitable event. For more details and price guidelines contact us.

Bake SaleBake Sales

Everyone loves cupcakes! A bake sale can be an enjoyable way to work together to raise funds for your club or cause. To be sure your bake sale is safe all you need to do is book space and a table on campus and follow Food Safe practices. Be sure to store your baked goods properly, do not use ingredients that require refrigeration, and use tongs or gloves when serving.

Get TogetherEvents and Meetings

Each campus has meeting rooms and space for conferences or outdoor activities, but they book up fast… sometimes before the semester even begins. Request a space for your meeting, event, practice, or get-together. If you don't know what room you want, we can help you find the right one.

Meeting RoomClub Space

The Social Justice Space provides a safe space that celebrates inclusivity and diversity in all of its forms, demanding justice for all and fighting against all forms of oppression. Located on the second floor of the Surrey Birch Building, it provides meeting, office, and kitchen space for your club. Participants are offered a Diversity Training workshop as part of their commitment to keeping this space welcoming for all students. The Space can be booked or used for drop-in during building hours.
