Dooley, Steve
Steve Dooley has been teaching in the Sociology Department at Kwantlen for the past 14 years. For the past three years, he was also seconded to the Office of the Provost and Vice President Academic and was responsible for community relationship building with secondary school districts in the Kwantlen region.
Steve is also currently the Director of The National Institute for Research in Sustainable Community Development at Kwantlen Polytechnic University. He has been involved in a number of community based research projects and has a well established track record in walking the talk of community development with local community partners. Along with another colleague, Steve developed the Target Inclusion Model, a set of methodological procedures for activating community involvement in action research initiatives. Steve is currently a principal investigator of an evaluation of two district prevention programs with the Surrey School District.
