Current and Pending Projects:
Having recently completed a Doctorate at the University of Calgary through the Graduate Division of Educational Research, my dissertation entitled, The mainstreaming of university life: A critical examination of educational policy at four Canadian universities, examines educational social justice policy and hate post 9/11. My intent was to marry my interest in social justice issues, including the impact of globalization with educational research at the post-secondary level. I have recently published a paper entitled, Integral vision for restorative justice in education that was presented at a conference on social justice in New Brunswick. Moreover, my interest in critical theory has resulted in my working on a paper entitled, Critical pedagogy in a post 9/11 world: Or who to turn to when the sky is falling. Most recently I have been involved in educational initiatives in Kenya, Africa. This includes developing field schools with a number of partner universities. I would be happy to meet with students to discuss their research interests in light of the areas I have outlined above, or any other areas that may be of interest to them.
