Areas of Interest/Investigation:

Mass media; race and ethnicity; sociology of the family; globalization; social psychology; cults, myths and religion; and African cultures. Recent research invovles studies on media, ethnicity/race, identity formation, and intercultural communication; Africa’s media image in the United States and the former Soviet Union; Africans and mixed-race families in the former Soviet Union; and sexuality and pregnancy among Ghanaian secondary school students.
