What do the results of the English Placement Test mean? | |
| Further Testing Required: |
If you have been recommended for further testing, this means that we cannot place you into an appropriate level based on the English Placement Test. You can sign up for further ACP testing (for native English speakers) or ELST testing (for non-native English speakers) at admissions. There is no charge for further testing, providing you sign up before the end of the following semester. It is best to sign up as soon as possible. Please take your results form to the Enrolment Services Front Counter on either the Surrey or Richmond campus to sign up for further testing. |
| ENGL 1097 |
If you have been placed into ENGQ 1097, you are eligible to register for ENGQ 1097 or ABEE 0070. This does not meet the Kwantlen General Admission requirement, so you cannot register for university-level courses (any course numbered 1100 or higher), unless you have met the requirement another way. |
|
ENGQ 1098 |
If you have been placed into ENGP 1098 you are eligible to register for ENGP 1098, ABEE 0081 or ENGP 1081. This does not meet the Kwantlen General Admission requirement, so you cannot register for university-level courses (any course numbered 1100 or higher), unless you have met the requirement another way. Once you have completed ENGP 1089 with a C, or ENGP 1081 with a B-, you will have met the General Admission requirement and can register in university-level courses. |
| ENGQ 1099 |
Placement into ENGQ 1099 meets the General English Requirement for Kwantlen. You are eligible to register for university-level courses (courses numbered 1100 or higher). You cannot register for ENGL 1100, or CMNS 1140, as you must take ENGQ 1099, ENGP 1091 or ENGP 1097 first. Please ensure you have applied for an undergraduate studies program. Program Status Change forms are available in the Student Enrolment Services office, and there is no cost associated with changing your program.’ If you are not sure what your current program is, you can check online at mykwantlen.ca |
