Invigilation or Proctoring
Who can request an inviligation of an exam?
Any student who wishes to write an exam from Kwantlen or another institution.
Who do I contact to book an exam time?
Please contact Assessment and Testing Services at 604-599-2368 or by email at testing@kwantlen.ca to confirm space, location and time availability. Please do not drop in to book exams as we are often in testing sessions.
What if my exam is an online examination?
We will invigilate your session according to your institution’s policies and procedures. Online exams are only available at our Surrey Campus exclusively.
How much is the inviligation fee?
There is a $30 fee for each invigilated exam (up to 3 hours) and $10 per additional hour or portion thereof. This fee is payable at the Student Enrolment Services office when you come to write your test. Please ask for a duplicate receipt from the cashier. Please note: Cash payments will NOT be accepted at the Assessment Centre or by the Test Invigilator. Cash Payments must be made at the Student Enrolment Services office on any campus during regular hours of operation, Monday through Friday.
What do I need to tell my institution?
You will need to let your home institution know the date that have booked your exam at Kwantlen. Please let them know that we have a policy that all exams must arrive at Kwantlen at least 3 days before the exam test date or we may have to reschedule your exam. Your institution will need to send your exam to the mailing address below:

What do I need to know when I come to write the exam?
Please arrive 10 minutes early. Bring two copies of your invigilation fee receipt (paid at the Enrolment & Registrar Services counter.) Bring current photo ID (BC driver’s license, passport.) Bring any other authorized materials that the exam requires or allows you to use such as calculators, textbooks or notes (if applicable.)
